About our practice
Dr. Keller's Approach
Dr. Keller's years of acupuncture pair with his training in martial arts and internal cultivation to inform his practice. His passion for healing has led him to develop a methodology that incorporates medicinal Qigong, energy work, and physical exercises to promote complete healing. If you want to play an active role in your healing, we will make an excellent team.
What Can I Expect from my First Appointment?
Our approach to your health is holistic. We want to make sure that you are feeling relief from your pain and stressors, and make sure that we address the issues you face at their core.
When you come in for your initial treatment, Dr Keller will lead a conversation about your medical history in length. This discussion may take about 30 minutes depending on your history and needs. He will cover just about anything you can think of, so feel free to mention what you feel is most important. From there he will diagnose and treat your symptoms accordingly for about 45 minutes. Much of this time will be when the needles are doing their work, so you will be resting, cozied up in one of our treatment rooms.
Why Treat My Whole Body and not just
One Problem Area?
Why not? In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the body is regarded as a system rather than separate parts that make up a whole. If you want to feel your best, it is important that we look at all aspects of your life- mind, body, and soul- and pour support to the areas which may be lacking.
Evidence for Acupuncture and Energy Work
This kind of medicine has been practiced for thousands of years for a reason, though many are still skeptical. More and more people are looking for alternatives or accompaniments to Western medical practices. Luckily, we have seen many hospitals across the United States bring in Eastern practitioners to help manage their patients symptoms and mental health.
